Marc D. Roup is a Co-Founder and CEO of MedTech Health care Group, which was started in August, 2006. MedTech is a PA State licensed outpatient medically assisted treatment facility for opiate addicted patients, with facilities in Westmoreland and Indiana Counties, in Pennsylvania. MedTech is the largest opiate treatment program in both counties with a census of nearly 700 patients daily. From its inception in 2006, MedTech facilities have treated over 6000 patients who have developed an addiction to prescription opiates and/or Heroin. With over 15 years of health care industry experience, Mr. Roup also co-founded and served as CEO of World Health Alternatives, Inc. (WHAI,) a publicly traded medical staffing firm, Headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA, that he started in 1999 with an initial investment of only $10,000. Mr. Roup grew the firm, organically, from his initial investment to three locations in Pittsburgh, Cleveland and Boca Raton. In 2003, World Health Alternatives, under Mr. Roup's leadership, partnered with private equity financing to grow the company further, through acquisitions, fin ally going public on the OTCBB and achieving peak year sales of $151M and multiple locations by 2004 and sales projections for 2005 of $200M.
Mr. Roup resigned as CEO of World Health, Inc. In 2004 to start MedTech Healthcare Group and World Health was sold in 2006 for $55M, under alternate leadership. By then, Mr. Roup had no ties to the company. Mr. Roup has founded many successful companies over the last 15 years, through his opportunistic business insight and vision, including The Gold Buyers of Pittsburgh, which is the largest precious metals buyer in the Pittsburgh area with 6 corporate and 3 franchise locations. He was an owner of Rich Mic Fast Food a chain of seven Pop eyes fast food restaurants which he purchased in 2005 and then sold in 2007. Mr. Roup also owns Legacy Jewelers, Ronin Capital Funding and Richard Felser, Inc., a 51yr old construction firm also located in Pittsburgh. Marc has been a serial entrepreneur all his life with many successful ventures and accomplishments. Mr. Roup holds a BS in Business Administration from Robert Morris University.
